Uses in the Classroom: This tool can be used to provide basic instruction for students in the traditional classroom and online. It provides a means for instructors to demonstrate and explain different tasks, assignments and new concepts. Additionally, it is a tool that can be used to help students learn more effectively and how to problem solve with different subject matter.
This tool will provide students with a mind map that will assist them in learning about Berry Gordy. Also, it addresses the needs of visual learners and provides an alternative class material that students can print for future reference.
Issues to Consider: In order to use mind mapping effectively, students will need access to computers, Internet access and have created a Gliffy.com account. Additionally, students will need to be familiar with maneuvering around an Internet browser window and the Gliffy application. If these items aren't available for the students at home, they should be provided for them in the classroom.
